Conceived as an open-ended dialogue between space, inhabitant, and form, this site-specific artistic intervention introduces a system of radical architectural mutability to an existing gallery framework. The design relies on a series of modular components constructed entirely from humble, off-the-shelf materials, elevating everyday components into a sophisticated language of spatial theory. Each module is carefully articulated as three solid planes of an otherwise implied six-sided cube, consisting simply of a floor component and two perpendicular walls.
By defining only half of the architectural envelope, these minimalist volumes relinquish the traditional ego of fixed authorship, granting the exhibiting artist or architect absolute freedom to continuously reconfigure the landscape. When juxtaposed, aligned, or nested with one another, the modules undergo tectonic permutations, shifting effortlessly from open rooms and linear galleries to dense, maze-like spaces or singular contemplative cells. The intervention challenges the static permanence of traditional interiors, transforming the gallery into a living, participatory field. This modular exhibition design effectively blurs the line between sculpture and architecture, proving that humble, standardized materials can generate infinite spatial realities and empower the occupant as the ultimate co-creator of the environment.
